Can you tell us about your background and role at Boundless Learning?

“I’ve spent much of my career leading in the technology space, with over 15 years of experience across education, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. At Boundless Learning, my role builds on this foundation. I direct strategic technology planning and delivery, focusing on creating scalable, next generation learning solutions.

My work is centred around aligning technology with our vision for enabling learning and ensuring we're not just keeping pace with change but leading it. I’m passionate about building high-performing teams, using data to drive decisions, and delivering meaningful value to both our learners and our partners.”

How do you stay informed about emerging technology trends and decide if Boundless Learning should embrace them?

“Staying informed about emerging technology trends is a critical part of my role. I actively engage with global tech communities, attend industry conferences, and subscribe to curated research from thought leaders like Gartner and McKinsey. I also make time for regular dialogue with SaaS partners, vendors, and peers to understand how innovations are being applied in real-world learning environments.

I take a pragmatic approach to integration and automation. Emerging technologies are first assessed through a strategic lens and how they align with our organizational goals, enhance learner outcomes, and support scalability. We then validate feasibility through pilot programs, data-led assessments, and close stakeholder consultation. It’s important not to adopt tech for tech’s sake. The focus is always on value, sustainability, and how the technology empowers our customers, academic partners, and learners.”

What role do you believe artificial intelligence plays in the future of education?

“Artificial intelligence is set to play a transformative role in the future of education. It’s more than just a technological advancement, it’s a catalyst for reshaping how we design, deliver, and experience learning. I see AI as a powerful enabler that allows education providers to personalize learning at scale, streamline institutional operations, and provide meaningful, real-time insights into learner performance and engagement.

At Boundless Learning, we’re focused on how AI can elevate the learner experience through intelligent learner engagement systems, predictive analytics, quality assurance, and adaptive learning pathways. These tools enhance outcomes and help reduce barriers to learning by offering timely, targeted interventions.

Beyond the digital classroom, AI has the potential to significantly improve institutional effectiveness. It can automate time-intensive administrative processes, optimise resource allocation, and flag patterns that help identify at-risk students early, allowing educators and support teams to intervene before issues escalate. This level of insight leads to more informed decision-making, which in turn drives better academic and operational outcomes.

As with any emerging technology, the adoption of AI in education must be approached with a strong commitment to ethics and responsibility. Transparency, data privacy, and equitable access must remain foundational principles. It’s essential that AI solutions are inclusive by design, serve all learners fairly, and empower rather than marginalise.

Ultimately, AI isn’t about disrupting or replacing what exists, it’s about evolving the education industry into something more responsive, data-informed, and learner-centric. When integrated thoughtfully, AI allows institutions to scale personalised education, unlock innovative learning models, and better prepare students for a dynamic, tech-driven future.”

Can you share how you navigate system changes while continuing to ensure a seamless experience for learners?

“Navigating system changes while maintaining a seamless experience for learners requires a balance of strategic planning and agile, incremental delivery. My approach begins with establishing a strong foundation — deploying scalable, modular solutions that can support future enhancements without overwhelming the current ecosystem or end users.

Rather than trying to deliver large, all-encompassing changes that risk losing traction due to long timelines, I focus on identifying high-impact areas where we can deliver immediate value. This often involves running focused proof of concepts (POCs) to test assumptions, validate solutions, and gather real user feedback early. These POCs help us de-risk larger initiatives and ensure we’re solving the right problems in the right way.

At Boundless Learning, we ensure that system changes are introduced gradually and thoughtfully, with the learner experience at the centre. We leverage data to guide our priorities and closely monitor the impact of each change to avoid disruption. Foundational capabilities, such as robust data, system integration, and modular platform components, are key enablers that allow us to evolve without having to re-architect every time.

It’s about delivering value where it matters most, as early as possible and by starting small, proving impact, and building iteratively, we create a roadmap that allows for continuous innovation while ensuring that the learner journey remains reliable and engaging throughout.”
